If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Howdy everyone... Thought I would ask a strange question.... Have any of you all had any ear pain??? Not internal like an earache..but on the outside of the ear. I've noticed this for some time....even preAS dx...not sure what it is. It gets real tight the area of the cartlidge. It hurts the bajonkers out of me !! I was talking on the phone the other day with my cordless..and it hurt so bad..the phone couldnt even touch it ...felt like it was cramping up. I could barely stand to touch it. Its only my right ear..but of course most of my AS pain has been right dominant..cept for a few stray joints here and there. I know it sounds odd. But the cartlidge feels like someone is pricking it with a needle. This time around on friday night it lasted a good hour or so..then on and off thru the day. I just find it very odd. Thoughts?? Am I alone on this one??? Hugs to one and all... Toodles! Angie

Dear Angie: I get a sharp earlobe pain that I cannot really pinpoint. I used to think it was where I blew my ear off (too young for advanced alchemy set...) but it does not really follow the injury margins... guess it could be AS-related, almost everything else is . Best to You and family, John

Could be related to TMJ, whenever I have a bout of that I get ear pain. Does it radiate down to your jaw or is it just local? Could also be stress, you could be grinding your teeth at night and not know it, causing that area to be sore. When I get TMJ my ear area really hurts! This sharp ear pain is what is really bugging me. I get it in one or the other ear for about three days. Sometimes followed by incapacitating dizzyness. What really makes me angry is my reumatologist said there is no mechanism in the ear for AS. I have spent like thousands of dollars to have this checked out. But it keeps coming back. Charles

I have only ever had tinitus (ringing in the ear) and every time it started ginko-biloba fixed it up quick smart. So perhaps its worth a shot. And rutin has fixed up all my peripheral inflammation - eyes (iritis), knuckles and knees (enthesitis)

Ear pain or loss of hearing and " incapacitiating dizziness" are signs if my memory is not totally shot of a condition known as Menier's disease. Don't know if what you have is AS related or not but I toss this out as fodder if its not something anyone has mentioned.     stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

Don't know what the cause might be, but my TMJ pain's focla point is right at my jaw where it abutts my right ear. On days where it searing it can feel like the pain is emanating from my ear except for the ever familiar crackling when I slide my jaw side ot side.     stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

Yes, I grind my teeth.. been doing that stuff since I was a kid. Used to get real sharp jaw pain when I laughed...never understood why on earth it happened. I was supposed to see a dentist for the TMJ, but then it eased up for some months now.... I do get pain radiating up jaw......so that makes sense. When I get the ear pain..it's in that area...and sometimes sharp twinges in my temple. Not like a headache..but very very sharp needle like pain in my temple. It's scary feeling but lasts only for a bit then it's gone. Perhaps in a month or so I can go visit my dentist..not very fond of dentists...child issues!! Still scared of them !! hugs]]] Toodles! Angie
