Dear Jasmine:

I worked with many Koreans (Philip K. Hwang, the early Korean "Bill Gates"), and spent 11 days in Seoul. I had a map of the city, with English labels on the streets--but the actual street signs were in Hangul! I learned a bit of the language, and have much appreciation for the people and language of Emperor Han (he's the bearded fellow on all their money). A very great and distinguished culture on par with Chinese and their early art and technology is spectacular. (oh, yeah--and the women are compellingly beautiful; if not all quite as much so as you).

Best to You,
John

“How could you make me eat soap?”
‘What? Don’t you like it?’
“It’s disgusting. Have you ever eaten soap?”
I asked, my mouth spuming foam.
‘Oh yes,’ murmured the Master dreamily,
‘I’ve eaten soap many many times.’
. . .
Five minutes slipped by as I drifted in and out of
consciousness. The Master probed beneath my
tongue with the glass thermometer, like a stoker
attending the firehole.
‘Bingo! You’re almost up to a hundred and four.
Well done! This is impressive.’
. . .
“Feroze,” said Rublu, “I hope you haven’t been
mistreating your pupils again. You should know
better.”
The Master raised one finger in the air, preparing
to defend the accusation. ‘Well,’ he said stolidly,
‘perhaps I did prescribe a little more soap than I
should have. But then how are we to breach
the boundaries of science if we do not test them?’

Hi, Welcome to the board

We all hate mornings too . The only thing I can say is that sometimes this illness doesnt appear to be for life, so never give up hope. There are numerous ways you can help yourself (mainly exercise) but try out things such as the No Starch diet to see if it works for you, if it works then great, if it doesnt, try something else.

Good luck fighting this thing, remember theres an ear for you here all the time

Jade and Daz!
Jade. Hope your husband gets inspired. I told my mom about your post and she smiled. And thanks. ^_^ Actually mom is also in the pic ( on my right ). But i trimmed her out when i read the instruction about personal pic for this site and resized the pic down to 65x75pixels. lol Best wishes to you. =)
Daz. I'd never give up hopes even though sometimes I don't feel that way. Thanks for the advice. I am trying the diet and I am trying to consume more fruits and veggies. Are you on the No Starch Diet, too? If so, how is the diet working out for you?

John! Wow...... You've been to Seoul! How wonderful! Hope you have enjoyed the time (and food lol) there.
I believe it's King Se-jong The Great who invented Hangul. Emperor Han ruled China. Hangul is much easier to learn than English, don't you think?
I have few American friends here and they are nice. I have started to make a plan to study in the States after I complete my degree here. I hope that day will come soon.
Thanks. Take good care~

Jasmine
