since i'm not sure what is causing my symptoms (rheumatic or endocrine related or ?), my experiences may be unique to me, but this is my experience.

My SI definitely becomes unstable related to hormonal ups and downs. I only have really bad events of instability a few days into a cycle. other times my SI pain is more defuse (buttocks pain, etc).

I seem to have more major tendon/ligament injuries in batches (within a few weeks of one another). July 1998 dq tendonitis and upper back rhomboid "injury", Oct 2000 first SI overrotation and plantar fasciitis, July 2006 hip and ulnar wrist injuries.

i feel like i was in a "flare" 1998 to about 2003. then, other than having SI instability every few months and needing upper back trigger point injections, felt i was pretty good from 2003 to 2006. for those 3 years my hands and feet got a lot better and i didn't "injure" anything new. Since the summer of 2006, all the body parts seem bad. so i'd say my problems are definitely cyclic.
