Darryn - right on. But that is what we have been saying 'forever'.

Bur here's a heartener - http://blogs.healthfreedomalliance.org/blog/2010/02/05/vitamin-proves-better-then-big-pharma-drug/

'Vitamin Proves Better Than Big Pharma' (one might have thought 'than Big Farmer', but noooooo, IS *Pharma!) Get this: "But sometimes pigs do fly and we have such a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine comparing an inexpensive form of vitamin B (Niacin) to a popular cholesterol drug (Zetia) made by Merck. And guess what? The vitamin was better!"

Am still picking myself up off the floor. And, the study was conducted by - dada - pharma. WOW. So, want healther arteries, get thee Niacin3; downside, will need a script for this particulasr one, as it is time released etc etc. But, does the job, plus, it was found that the drug, Zetia, led to ***Increased plaque formation. Hows zat?

"This trial doesn’t quite put the nail in the coffin for ezetimibe, but it pushes it way down on the list of medications for cholesterol-lowering therapy,” DeMaria said.

Moreover, nine patients in the Zetia arm had heart attacks, stroke, or died from heart disease, versus just two patients taking niacin." (more...)

Yep, GPs bother me as well. Mine is soooo laid back that one is looking for him under the desk! And is soooo spaced out that one wonders what he is on... Have to direct his footsteps every step of the way - wears one out!
