If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello everyone!
Thought I'd send greetings to you all. I'm 34 y.o. male and have been suffering from AS for about 10 years now. I have moth-eaten sacro-iliac joints, plus right hip inflammation (which makes it feel like my right leg is a bit longer than the other) and an inflamed left knee (which strangely evens things up a bit, leg lengthwise). I've also had a few battles with iritis.
Up till this year, I had managed to KickAS reasonably well with a combination of an NSAID (celebrex, 200mg/day), regular exercise and physio, celery extract, glucosamine and Unique Water (a magnesium bicarbonate bottled water). At the beginning of this year I withdrew the celebrex as I was (perhaps overly) concerned at the time about media reports of side-effects. I held out for 3 months but eventually the inflammation / pain prevented me from exercising and I lost a lot of back and leg muscle strength. I could hardly walk.
For the last 3 months I have returned to the celebrex and undertaken an increased exercise routine and although it's taking time, I'm starting to KickAS once again, thankfully.
By the way, recently I have been experimenting with the no starch diet (three weeks of it so far; I look forward to posting on that topic from time to time), as well as hydrotherapy (it's excellent and I recommend it for gently strengthening weak muscles), and Chinese herbs/massage/acupuncture.... etc etc...!
I have lots more to tell, but I don't want to bore everyone! I enjoy reading your posts and hope that you are all Kicking AS as best you can.
Cheers, Eucalyptus.

Hello Eucalyptus,
From your name I figured you were from down under. Sounds like you are very proactive with your treatment.. good to hear. Kickas is a great site to help you going forward.
Glad to hear you are trialing the No Starch Diet... has been a life saver for me personally (3+ yrs on the diet now). If you have any questions regarding food visit the diet forum.
Many other alternatives are discussed there as well... I strongly believe in healing the leaky gut and correcting disbyosis to improve matters. Much to be learned in the forum if you choose to visit.
Best wishes to you moving forward.
AS may win some battles, but I will win the war.
KONK - Keep ON Kicking

so glad you decided to stay... this is a wonderful place! YOU'RE NOT ALONE ANYMORE! your very first gentle hug, teddi
keep smiling... it matters!
FYI-Because of its literal definition ("fear of the marketplace"), agoraphobia is often misunderstood as a fear of crowds or a fear of open spaces. The clinical definition of agoraphobia is a fear of situations or places "from which escape might be difficult (or embarrassing) or in which help may not be available in the event" of a panic attack.

Hi Joy I need help here, those beautiful cats and various pastes you make here are great, first question where do you get them?, and how do I do that? Typical I was just getting used to making my posts arty and then they go and change it all. Laura xx
