Hi all, Just wanted to know if anyone has been on talwin? My dr gave it to me and so far it works well and I have no side effects. Tends to give me energy( much needed) The dr. told me it is a very old med, given years ago for pain. Any info would help

terry, aloha also called tolmetin or tolectin...i took it for thirty years...worked somewhat/mostly...ever increasing dosages... it's an OLD, OLD Nsaid...gave me an ulcer...almost not here. are you taking a tummy protector? good luck aB

Aloha Ben, No I'm not taking anything for my tummy. Didn't know it was a nsaid.... are you sure????? As I am allergic to nsaids. My dr told it was a pain med.......

Funny, I saw the name and remember taking it about 25 years ago near the beginning. Never hear of it anymore. Well since it was that long ago, I can't remember a thing but if it works for you...great!

Yes, it is a very old painkiller. Hard to get ahold of in Canada. It does work for me though.

Hi ya No it's NOT an NSAID: Talwin NX (Pentazocine / Naloxone) - Drug Information - Talwin NX is a narcotic analgesic painkiller used for pain relief. Drug information on the indications and side effects of the pain medication Talwin NX, generic drug name pentazocine and naloxone. hi i read this post and looked up talwin cus i was interested to know if it was stronger than tramadol. from reading it, it seems to b on the same level as tramadol. if anyone knows if it is stronger, i would b very interested to know. take care heather
