If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

i wasn't sure how i felt about the whole thing at first when i learned about it. but i read tim's posts and he said i could post my "female" topic on the main page but wanted me to know there was another option. i'm glad he let me know as i was unaware and from this thread i think there are others that are unaware.
i decided my information was important enough to keep in the main forum for all to see. the downside to the gender-specific forums being closed to members is that unregistered guests won't be able to see it but if there is something we think is important for everyone (registered or not, male or female) to see, we can post it on the main forum.
after looking at the women's forum a little today, i think i understand the purpose of this forum. its what tim had said, a more private place for women to share things with just women members that they might not feel comfortable sharing in a more public setting. so we don't have to post there; its just another option. at least that's the way i took it. i think the men's forum was set up with a similar purpose in mind. seeing the women's forum definitely gave me a different perspective on it today.
i do like your idea of a gender-specific threads open to the public as well. i like options.
