If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Does any of you have ringing in your ears. Like when your getting ready to sleep and all is quiet you hear this ringing. Loud sometimes....drop frequencies...high to low to high. How about warm to hot flashes.....all my life....anyone? Just curious... Dan

Dan, I ocasionally get slight ringing in my ears for no reason. On the other hand, your question about hot flashes, I'm sure you will get a lot of answers to that. I posted questinging about low grade fevers a while back. It turns out that it is one of the symptoms of AS. There was a pretty good mix of people who like temps hotter and colder than the average person due to that. Also, myself and a lot of members have night sweats, another sign of AS. I do also tend to have hot and cold flashes, more like longer periods than a flash though, during the day. Hope this helps Daniel Keep on keepin on Kicking some AS
Take care my friend,
I hope this finds you well,
Daniel

I guess what I meant was what you asked. Low grade fever. I have had it for years, but no one told me it was associated with AS. And I have seen plenty of rhumies and doctors with my AS. Well, Tks Dan for that bit of information. Have a great New Year. DaninVa

Do you take aspirin Dan? Large doses will cause Tinitus. I'm not sure if NSAIDS do the same thing or not. I do get hot flashes but have been running a low grade fever for about 4 weeks or more. Phil

Dan, I always have ringing in the ears... I attribute it to medicines, sinus problems and TMJ. It's highly annoying. I believe the medical term for it is "tinnitus" As for heat flashes.. I don't know. I get flushed and warm, and then it goes away. ******** Kristin

Hi Dan, Well, this annoying problem,I have.I have lowd ringing in my ears and I complained to my dr. bout it.He sent me to an ear specialist. All that I learned from her is what it is called. Now i'm wondering if it has something to do with AS.That high piched metalic sound never leaves me.I noticed that it is much louder when i'm feeling tired or exhausted. Thanks for bringing up the subject. Oh now maybe it has something to do with anti-inflamatory meds that i've been using for over 30 yrs. Ray (Icky)

Hi Dan, I don't have ringing in my ears but I do have those hot flash fevers every so often. I also have low grade fevers all the time. And as the other people have mentioned is part of AS...and from what I was told is part of RA as well. Take care and hugggggggggs, Lsia HAVE A SAFE, HAPPY AND PAIN FREE NEW YEAR !

Hi Dan,
I was diagnosed has having Menieres long before the AS diagnosis. I am lucky in that I only get really bad periods of Menieres a couple of times a year (projectile vomiting is not a myth!!), but I do get constant inner ear noise most of the time. I was informed that this was not related to the AS, but having lived with AS for many years before realising what it was, I do wonder if there is a connection.
I don't get the warm/hot flushes though.
David

I do get ringing in my ears a lot of the time and sometimes like NOW it comes on very strong. In the past I was told to cut back on my Naprosyn as it can cause ringing in the ears. This weekend it got so bad that I went to the emergency ward at the Hospital and Dr. there told me that I have fluid on the one ear and Bone deteroration on the other and that Naproysn can cause the bone damage. She advised me to see my regular Dr. after the holidays and get an referral to an Ear Specialist. In the mean time she told me to use some dristan Nasal mist to help clear the nasal passage and hopefully it will drain the fluid off my ear....it didn't work...so now I am just waiting to see my regular Dr. and see what he says. Sure is annoying as some sounds are really amplified and others are muffled. Dan. Who knows what the drugs will do to us?
