If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hey guys, just curious-- Anyone else out there that is HLB27+ and has or has had Iritis? It would be very interesting to know if the chance of having/getting Iritis is higher with being HLB27+? And, in the alternative, is anyone out there HLB27- and has or has had Iritis? Thanks for letting me know, I will compile a list, and figure out the percentages, and will post my results. Cheers, Rita  {by the by, I am HLB27+, and have Iritis [left eye, only]}

I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. They checked for iritis but didnt find that. The doc found this other. Then was diagnosed with AS. Robbie

Yes - HLA-B27+ here and have had several bouts of Iritis.
On one of my attacks I first saw a different opthamologist and she noted the B27 issue and it was obvious that she then took me more seriously, before she even checked my eye.

Hi Rita,
That's a very interesting thought. I am HLA-B27 negative and haven't ever had iritis.
I'll be looking forward to the results of your poll.
Thanks for your effort, Jessie

I just ended up in emerg for Iritis 2 weeks ago, shortly after my second Remicade infusion....nonetheless the Opthamologist asked me if I was B27+.
THere is a connection!

Hi Sqeaky,
I am HLAB27+ and have never had iritis to this point. I have had AS for over 25 years. So no I do not see a correlation. BTW- I live in Kamloops, not far from you.

HLA-B27 negative, numerous bouts of Iritis, and last year also was dx'd with Trigeminal Neuralgia. I noticed I am the only neg so far to respond with having iritis. I only have been tested 1x for hla-b27 could the test result be wrong? Clara
