Hey Jilli Girl!

I am so sorry that the outcome of this situation is not what all was hoping for.

I have learned there doesnt have to be a reason it just is whether it makes sense or not.

I am so glad that you are still close to your in laws and they have so much love for you, that it how it should be although that wasn't the case for me.

They have been blessed to have you in their lives and I am sure they appreciate the time and the love and support you are giving them right now and in the days to come.

I will keep your family and theirs in my prayers over the weeks to come.

You know I am here if you need me at anytime.

My love to you all,

Lisa

Hi Everyone,

I got a call this afternoon from Ken's wife letting us know that Ken has entered the end stages of life. He hasn't been able to eat since Friday, and yesterday morning after he took his pills he went to sleep and hasn't woken up since. He has been in excruciating pain the last few days because he isn't able to swallow, but they had a hospice worker come over today and put in some sort of butterfly syringe so they can administer morphine to control the pain.

I don't think it is going to be much longer, but the word tonight is that he seems peaceful and comfortable now that they can manage his pain levels appropriately.

Thank you so much for keeping him and the family in your thoughts and prayers. They have made a difference.

Jill

Jill,

I am so, so sorry!

I too hope that he is not in pain and they can keep the pain meds up.

This has really gone fast, I am sorry to hear about this. I will continue to keep you and the family in my thoughts and prayers.

Take Care,

Lisa

Thanks Lisa,

Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. It did go very fast. He was only originally diagnosed last May, so it hasn't even been a year. It's amazing the way this has gone. Everyone just assumed that Ken, being the kind of person he is, would just pull through. And, now here we are. He has lasted longer than the Dr.s originally thought so the extra time has been such a blessing. He has had all of his kids around since the end of January and I think it has been a very healing time for them all.
