If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have a sonic tothbrush too -- I love it, and no -- I haven't mastered the no "spraying every which way but down into the sink" effect yet! Oh well, I love that toothbrush though....Did take a while to get accustomed to though, I thought for sure it was going to vibrate my fillings right out! Christine Some days I feel all rung out...

I have them cleaned by the hygenist once a year. There is plaque behind my teeth but the dentist says that I have good teeth. It is probably genetic.Lucky me! Ray

Christine, This is a touchy subject. I don't know if there is a connection with AS and teeth or not. But my teeth problems started in my teens, about the same time the SI pain started. I faithfully brushed, flossed, and visited the dentist, but still had bad teeth. I did have a lot of problems with deposits on my teeth, but having brittle teeth didn't help either. If I had it to do all over again, and I knew everything I knew now, I would have gotten my false teeth when I was 21. And I would have been thousands of dollars ahead, not to speak of all the years of toothache pain. I've had falsies for several years now, and I've never regretted it. I had 12 teeth absessed, three of them ended up with dry socket. I've also had several just break off for no reason. (I'm definately no stranger to pain, so why do I whine so much about AS?) Genetics is probably more on the mark. The dentist told my oldest son that his teeth are extremely brittle also. He has had 3 to break, and he is only 16. So far, they have been able to be repaired. Hugs, Cindy

I don't have my teeth break per se, but I have had problems with my lower molars (on the inside part, near the tongue). They have terrible decalcification and then when I am brushing or they are scraping --- part of the tooth down there will just break away! EEK! Then I get the "cavities" filled. It's pretty icky stuff to have happen! ******** Kristin

Had the same problem until I started using the Braun as well about 6 yrs ago. I have become slightly anal about my teeth because I HATE, I HATE the dentist. I make it a point to use that machine three times a day and floss every evening then rinse with Listerine at night. Since I started this regime the hygenist doesn't even use that ultrsonic plaque buster thing anymore and I'm out of there in twenty minutes and I always hear now...boy you take really good care of your teeth. To which I reply "because I HATE you guys!"
Good luck, Kerry

I'll be buying one of those things as soon as possible. I hate going to the dentist. Susie

Don't know if it is related to AS or not. I had an abcess in my upper jaw, not the tooth, the jaw. I had 5 root canals done but they didn't help. After several years of continuous infection I lost my 4 front teeth because part of my jaw was eaten away by the infection. That was the most pain I have ever felt in my life, inflamation and pressure inside the bone. Kiril Don't forget to do your stretches!

Never thought I'd ever say this, but having teeth pulled was the greatest relief I've ever felt. Not to mention that my new ones are now straight and have no gap. I actually enjoy smiling now. Kiril Don't forget to do your stretches!
