I'm sorry to say this will be my last posting. I discovered that I have very fast acting pancreatic cancer. It doesn't appear that I'll be alive for very much longer. My motor abilities are going fast, and my daughter is up here from North Carolina helping me along with my husband. I may occasionally check the website from time to time for messages but will be unable to write anymore messages. I'd like to take this time to thank all of you guys to thank you for helping me. You've been a wonderful family.

janet, i dont know what to say other than to think positively and know that we are thinking of you & your family at this incredibly difficult time. My own Mum (shes 76),is in a local hospital here now, on Friday doctors gave her 5% chance after multiple operations over the last few weeks and this morning shes at 50/50 so we are obviously crossing everything for some more time with her. However painful it may be, we'll double cross everything thats crossed, for you & yours  hugs & the best of luck Patrick

AS for 20 years
HLAb27+, i think there was talk a negative result at later date, but never confirmed.
Have been on many different anti- inflammatory drugs (naproxen to arthrotec to vimovo). Now off all prescription meds except occasional advil or tylenol.
Don't underestimate the power of icing (I bought the biggest ice pack i could find and it is good at numbing pain).
