If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I saw a tv show that called oxycontin Kentucky heroin.Apparently the druggies chop it up and snort it which sometimes leads to fatal results. It is a -holes that do this that cause doctors to be really uptight about prescribing pain relievers to legitimate patients like us .Doctors are worried about losing their 150k plus a year incomes instead of aleiviating pain sadly. Kev, I saw a preview for a local news show.. calling Oxy a "killer" and talking about what parents are doing to "keep their kids safe". It's ridiculous that the MEDICINE is blamed for people's irresponsibility and illegal behavior. It makes me sick! ******** Kristin

Hi Pam, and welcome!! I've been taking 10mgs Oxycontin 4 X daily for almost a year now. It, combined with methotrexate, are the only 2 drugs that have got me functioning well enough to be able to drive again, after almost 2 years, and I also started belly dancing last year too, which I'd never have dreamed possible a year ago!!! I'm trying to keep the Oxy to 10mgs for as long as possible, and take codeine phos for "breakthrough pain" (my rheumy and GP had been trying to get me to take it for at least 2 years, but I stubbornly resisted, until I realized I couldn't cope with the pain any more!!) Now, I realize that I'll probably be on it for the rest of my life (or until I can get onto Enbrel, or they find a cure for AS!!), and that I shall probably have to increase the dose at various times, to keep the pain at a manageable level, BUT, it has been almost a miracle drug for me, and I'd far rather be "addicted" to Oxycontin than living in constant, unrelenting, debilitating pain!! Good luck, Sue

My Husband has been on Oxcy for about 8 months. What a Godsend! while it can be addicting, he can't take NSAIDS and there was lettle left for him to use and get relief. Maybe another Dr for you who really understands AS.
Kathy :)
