Lon, I am so sorry to hear about your burdens but I also know that you couldn't "give up" if you tried. I know you may feel like giving in today but tomorrow is another day and I have no doubt that I'll see you back in here laughing and making crazy jokes that help lift the spirits of so many others. Of course this isn't your responsibility, I know that you know that, just as I know that you will do it anyway.

I think it's important to let yourself wallow in a bit of misery every now and then, it just isn't right to pretend these burdens don't take their toll. Just know that you do have many friends here and you always will.

Talk to you later Lon,

Chris

Hi Lon,
I'm sorry to hear that there is so much bad things going on around you right now. I wouldn't doubt if that's contributing to your current pains. I hope everything straightens out very soon. I wish you and your grandsons a speedy recovery and good health. Boy, just when I thought I had it bad....well, things are bad, but you know what I mean.

Take care,
James.

Lon,
My head is spinning trying to comprehend what you and your family are going through. I don’t know you well, however I have I have read much and can see from your post you are a strong spiritual man. Keep your head high and I will pray for you. Nothing last forever that goes for the good and the bad.. this too will pass and there will be brighter days ahead.

Peace,
Tamara

Hey bro Lon
If you don't mind me saying so you sound like you are in one H&!! of a shape. I am so sorry to hear about this accumulation of burdens that you have had thrown upon you.

I can really relate to the leg pain. Some days I wish I could twist mine off. The eurologist feels it is mostly from being a "borderline" diabetic, mostly caused by the number of steroid injections, and oral steroids I have had over the last 2 years for imflammation control.

Looks like your personal plate is running over there brother. Between your son, the wonderful Lin, your congregation and all of your other projects and dependents. It looks like its time for Lon to put his good foot down and take a little time for Lon. It may be time to take the old hunting stool and find someplace nice and quiet, pull out the seat and just take in God's other gifts, and unload some of that weight that you carry. I know that you don't have the words "No" or "I can't" in your vocabulary, but maybe an "I will try", or " As soon as I can get to you" would work?

I know that many people depend on you to be there and you don't let them down. I am sorry to hear that the babies auntie is being such a pain, but she can't expect you to support them forever, she also needs to stand on her own.

I really hate to hear about your son. That has to really be painful for you and Lin. But as you have said it's his time to pay for his own wrong doing. I tell my wife when she has a go with the kids. "They are grown, all you can do now is be there when they fall."

I wish and pray for Lin to find the doctors that she needs to get herself on the mend.

And as always, bro I pray for you and our KA families.

Keep Kickin'AS
Chris

Lon - this is a great forum and you contribute much to its friendly, helpful and caring feel. Now, it's our turn to return the gesture through this group hug, and for those closer to you to help you out in return. You do need some breathing space, start with your Dr or someone you know and trust. It is time now for others to care for you and Lin and help you out of this darkness into the light of the morning sunrise. It will come. All the very best.

You do so much more than most. Don't worry or sell yourself short on what you can't do. Step back and look at all you have done. Pat yourself on the back. Then pat some more. AMAZING. Your work in the communities where you've been. YOur support of your family, the folks here and the good that it passes along are AMAZING.

Add to all this your AS and the pain. SOmewhere I once read, " Orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano." I can't place where I read it but a wise man passed it on to me and others.

So I offer that to you. I know your mind is sound. What makes a sound body is to be debated. Maybe because your heart is so big some of your other body parts are just a bit beleaguered so that you don't have too much in the way of a sound body.

Morning Lon

I pray this morning may be a bit brighter! Just wanted to let you know you are still on my mind, on my heart and in my prayers!

I like what Steve said:
Maybe because your heart is so big some of your other body parts are just a bit beleaguered so that you don't have too much in the way of a sound body.
It sound oh so true!

God Bless,
Trae~

Oh my dear, what awful trials you must bear right now. I wish I could help you with each and every one. I'm sending white light and love to you and all you love with all my might.

I must say, the human race is incomprehensible to me sometimes. Reading what your family is going through (mercenary aunties who care only about what you can no longer do for them, grandson being shot) is heartbreaking, especially when added to the wee one's surgeries, Lin's frightening health, and your own pain. Please do not hesitate to lean on us when you feel you haven't the strength. We can be strong for you.

Love and many hugs,

Kat
