REMICADE is given by IV infusion, a simple process that usually takes about two hours. A healthcare professional administers the treatment in a supervised environment, which is either a physician's office or a treatment center. You will receive your first dose followed by additional doses at two and six weeks after the first dose. You will then receive a dose every eight weeks. If you have ankylosing spondylitis, you will receive treatment every six weeks.

Can any one tell me if it really helps one with As??? my physician told me about it. will it be benificial for me????

Hi Amandeep,... and welcome to KA!

I've been getting Remicade infusions for over 4 yrs now and with excellent results! I've had AS for 29 yrs and had many different meds over the years, most of which only helped a bit. In my case, Remicade is a lifesaver!

Unfortunately, not everyone will experience the dramatic results I've had, some will only find it half as good and roughly 10% of people with AS won't find it effective at all. The odds are pretty good though.

Hope you enjoy KA!

I have not taken it but my father has and he has had a great deal of improvment. He has been taking it for several years now. Hope it works for you!

I took it for a year and had to stop it. I didn't get relief from it but there are so many people here that have that I would encourage you to try it. I just tried everything that I could but I am not tolerating the big meds any more.

Blessings.
