Ahh, but even the broken arm can be blamed on therapies for AS (such as steroids, which can make us more prone to breaks). I am not sure there's anything that cannot be blamed on AS.. in fact I can't seem to study tonight and I am just *sure* it's AS-related!!

Steve,

I always wondered about whether AS wards off other diseases. Back when I smoked like a chimney, I knew a biologist who said that I likely had a lowere chance of getting some of the other nasties like the Big C. I do notice that when people in my household get sick, I either don't catch it or have a much shorter downtime.

I went through my red vet stage when my kids were teenagers. Is there a message here? Teenagers will make you feel old before you time Now I have a Pontiac Sunfire, at least I can get in and out of the thing without a shoe horn.

I'm afraid that pain in the rib cage is definitely an AS symtom - in my experience anyway. I currently have a bad cold and it kills me to cough or sneeze because of the pain. The joys!!! I always feel like I am a hypochondriac - I'm sure we're not though!
Good luck with sussing it all out

Johnny,

I hear you my friend. In the past I never paid attention to my ribs hurting, they just did, on the other hand, I would not worry about a little stinging in my eye, wheras now I panic. Its hard to wind our way through the minefield to find out what is AS, what's AS related, and what is nothing. We have to be careful, but at the same time, if we go to the doc for everything, we are seen as hyprochondriacs. It suck, and AS sucks. I hear you all too well.

Thanks for venting, it has helped more than you.

Take care

Daniel

I agree with you both - Rick and Steve on that one

I'm one of the healthiest people I know - if you ignore the AS! You'd think that as AS is an autoimmune thing that you'd be more susceptable to everything else but I don't think thats the case?

Cheers

Hey Cheryl , How do you like your little Pontiac ? I like the body style on the Sunfire , I had a 1972 Pontiac LeMans I sold about 2 years ago and i do miss it , well i miss 350ci. of V8 power but not the gas habit it had . Talk Later.
