If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Joana,
Remicade kicked in for me after the 6 week mark. Worked for nearly a year, then went on Humira and Enbrel, but they haven't done anything, so using Lyrica to keep the pain under control.
All the best,
James

Hello and welcome. Glad you made it here. I am with Possi. They didn't help me. But give them a real try. The wonderful stories I read about makes me so happy. It does take a while. From what I have read the Remicade a little longer because it takes time to build up. Stick with it and don't get discouraged.

Hi Joana,.. and welcome to KA!
I am one of the very lucky ones that noticed a huge decrease in pain, only 4 days after my very first infusion. Past that, things improved even further, gradually and steadily getting better and better for approximately the next 6 months to a year. My AS is classic and long-standing (29 yrs) but the last four and a half years on Remicade has improved my life beyond what words can describe!!
Try not to worry and give this treatment some time to take effect. I hope you have great results too!
I hope you are enjoying KA! mig

Hi Joana, I am another who had immediate results with Remicade - starting during my very first infusion. I've been on it for almost 4 years now and while its effects are starting to diminish somewhat, I'm still in much better shape than I was before Remicade. They say that the biologics can take up to 6 months to really start working for some people. Many don't really see serious results until the 'booster infusions' are over - the first three at weeks 0, 2 and 6 that help build up the med in your system.
If you don't see any negative effects, I would give it a good try.
Hugs,
Kat
