 Ok so I have been in a wickedly nasty flare. Last night I vomited all night because the pain was insane. I decided to confront my PCP again and beg for pain meds. My mom came with me as a back up just incase he refused. I gave him a list of painful areas! He said he needed no more explanation! He asked what I wanted and said here's a month script and you can stay on it forever! Just take 3 a day! are you kidding? This is the first time this has happened! My big break free from pain! I'm so happy right now. Even just to take the edge off! Woooop woooop! Wooooop woooooop! I have 80 percocets! He even said I could have something stronger if I needed it! I don't want to take it everyday but during a flare or bad break through pain-darn right! I hit the pain lottery! Can I get a HHHHeeeeeeey! Thanks for the support all! And again this place has become my safe zone! This site does a lot for my mom and I! Thanx

I'm so happy for you Zanni! I'm glad your PCP gave you something to help with your pain. I see mine on Friday and I'm hoping he will be able to help me with my pain as well or refer me to a pain specialist and an new Rhuemy.
I hope you have a much more restfull night to night!

This is Zanni's mom. This was a BIG breakthrough today for her and as I read her post I realize she is really at a peaceful place tonight. God knows she needed the meds. Why docs are so tentative we'll never know. I wanted to let you know that I will pray for your success on friday. I hope that you get some help for whatever you need! Please keep us updated-k?

I am so glad you are getting some relief. I don't know how people make it with these diseases without pain meds. I know how my grand mother was so crippled and hurt so bad with RA during a time that the only treatment was Bayer aspirin. I can hardly think of her and her pain now without crying.
