If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Actually next time i feel unwell im going to first consult a veterinarian. ill explain how i feel, but make out its how the dog is feeling... This will ensure i cant be given a script for myself for any medications until at least a second opinion from a GP. Ill just book it up under the little puppies name and get him wormed or something while i'm there.

Darryn - right on. But that is what we have been saying 'forever'. Bur here's a heartener - http://blogs.healthfreedomalliance.org/blog/2010/02/05/vitamin-proves-better-then-big-pharma-drug/'Vitamin Proves Better Than Big Pharma' (one might have thought 'than Big Farmer', but noooooo, IS *Pharma!) Get this: "But sometimes pigs do fly and we have such a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine comparing an inexpensive form of vitamin B (Niacin) to a popular cholesterol drug (Zetia) made by Merck. And guess what? The vitamin was better!" Am still picking myself up off the floor. And, the study was conducted by - dada - pharma. WOW. So, want healther arteries, get thee Niacin3; downside, will need a script for this particulasr one, as it is time released etc etc. But, does the job, plus, it was found that the drug, Zetia, led to ***Increased plaque formation. Hows zat? "This trial doesn’t quite put the nail in the coffin for ezetimibe, but it pushes it way down on the list of medications for cholesterol-lowering therapy,” DeMaria said. Moreover, nine patients in the Zetia arm had heart attacks, stroke, or died from heart disease, versus just two patients taking niacin." (more...) http://abcnews.go.com/Health/HeartDiseas...tory?id=9092855------------- Yep, GPs bother me as well. Mine is soooo laid back that one is looking for him under the desk! And is soooo spaced out that one wonders what he is on... Have to direct his footsteps every step of the way - wears one out!

Darryn - I understand completely. Have you ever been to a D.O.? Doctor of Osteopathy or Osteopath? I definitely prefer veterinarians, absolutely. But I've found that among human-doctors, D.O.s seem to be the most . . . logical . . . rational .. . most vet-like .. . y'know what I mean? I've been to 3 of them so far, and I'm not saying they're infalliable, but they definitely seem to be smarter than MDs. Don't tell my MDs I said that, ok? but really, they seem to be cooler. And I've had a LOT of experience with vets and docs! lol i'm really sorry you're having a crappy time with your GP. Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help. ok? -Bridget

the only hope we have is to buy out all the drug companies, restructure their marketing practices, keep 5% of land for a sky scraper building to provide some shade for the other 95% of land filled with coconut trees, fruits, berries, gardens and native foods. they could just get the elevator down to the garden and make far more effective "magic cures", they just might need to serve a bigger "cure" with a plastic knife and fork.

though i have other issues with my current GP, must admit he is not that quick to throw drugs at a problem. most of my doctors have been very hesitant to give me anything (and i mean anything) for pain, to the point of undertreating me IMHO. and when it came to my cholesterol, he wanted me to try diet and exercise first, only once that didn't seem to be doing it and i pushed him for the statins, did he concede. but after a month, needed to go off the statin, and instead of pushing another one, he encouraged me to give the diet and exercise another try, which has been more successful this time around with further research. as for the niacin, he didn't want to put me on that, at the high dosages, not completely "safe" either, don't remember the details anymore, but decided i didn't want to go that route either. must say, this GP is pretty conservative with the drugs.

My GP is an osteopath - and i'm actually wanting a new doc. He treats me like its all in my head, and when my newly diabetic husband (new to diabetes, not a new husband:)) went to him , he told him he had to go on drugs or he'd die, this without even checking his cholesterol and sugar numbers. I give him (his practice) credit for referring me to my rheumy but that's about it. And my hub probably does need meds, but the doc didn't even review a healthy lifestyle plan with him. What little i've read about osteopathic sounds wonderful, a doc willing to look at the whole not the parts and willing to use alternatives, but i feel i'm seeing an imposter.
