Really Kev? I never knew that. smile I am very impressed with the makers of Humira for mentioning our site as a patient resource.

I wonder if a kicker works in their publishing department. lol The truth is, I think KA is being discussed in Rheumatology circles due to the NSD/LSD diet and as a successful model of patient support. It is very smart of them to include KA actually. Major Kudos to the Humira people!!

I am so pleased to know that some ASer's are finding KA this way! roll

Hello there,

Thanks for sharing the tidbits, they were both very inspiring to read.

Pray all works out with injections.

that was in the first suggestion.......

1) In the 'read this if you have AS' section, it goes through an example day... talking about exercise, rest etc, but also eating wisely: 'Ask your doctor about a low-starch diet, which has been shown to benefit some people with AS.'

That's very impressive. I also had no idea that Kevin found KA that way - I thought you just found it by accident like the rest of us, Kevin.

I found it myself just googling ankylosing spondilitis! Kind of obvious!

I'm also impressed that they're willing to mention LSD. I would have expected them to ignore it at the least so that's really great.

Whoa, maybe I should start seeing my rheumy again. This can change alot of things between us and our docs. smile

Good luck with the Humira Roogy, and thanks for telling about what you discovered.

HLA-B27+, JRA diagnosis in 1981, re-diagnosed as AS in 1988. Also iritis, colitis, and psoriasis. NSD + low carb helps me. My health makes it hard for me to post in a timely way.
