If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hey all it has been a while since I posted, I hope you all are doing well.
I had a question:
Does anyone know if Tylenol Arthritis has a significant amount of starch in it to cause a flare?
I will be posting on my trials with LDN in the main forum soon (maybe tonight)
Thanks!
Adam

No but I would put money on it going black.
The thing is, they are so small...

Crush em between two spoons, teaspoons or soup spoons. That was more manageable...

I've tested pills before, I'm saying they are small meaning that there is less starch than in food. Just wondering if anyone who takes pills (especially these) have caused flares? Or should be significant enough to avoid?

I took some a while back and they actually helped me a little bit. I was in a flare at the time, and they didn't make it any worse. But I'm not super sensitive to starch at this point and can get away with such small amounts.

I'm curious about people's experience generally with tylenol arthritis. One doc was recommending it to me and saying I shouldn't be using narcotics. At the time I thought, yeah right - I was in so much pain and using a fentanyl patch. But I am a little interested in whether anyone has found it effective.

Tylenol Arthiritis:
Inactive Ingredients: Corn starch, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, powdered cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide, triacetin
Two different types of starch in it! Whenever I'm considering a starch I always google "[drug name] inactive ingredients" to see if their is any starch used as a filler. I use aleve, it has no starch and works pretty well.

hi wendy,
was just looking at the active ingredient. its just acetaminophen. what makes it different is that it says it has two layers. one that works right away like normal tylenol and then another layer that works throughout 8 hours. they say its recommended for osteoarthritis. that makes sense since acetaminophen may be useful for pain but does nothing for inflammation.
my thoughts are, if you get some relief from acetaminophen, this may work for you. but if regular tylenol does little or nothing, this will probably be the same. i know for me, tylenol is pretty much useless for my pain. if my pain is bad enough to have to reach for drugs, tylenol ain't gonna cut it.
