On my first visit to a Rheumy, he gave me some information on Humira and said he would put me on it if my lab tests and x-rays show that Humira can help me. I am hoping my insurance will cover it. Their website says they do, but you have to prove that other meds don't work. I have been taking NSAIDs on and off for years but had to quit because I developed UC. I have been taking 6-MP and it has kept the UC in remission but does nothing for the AS symptoms. I see Rheumy again in about two weeks. I sure hope I can get it. I am really getting bad and I can't do any of the things I enjoy doing.

Just wanted to wish you luck, Ghostride.

I've been on Humira since January, and it's made such a difference to my life. I pray that it will do the same for you.

Do let me know how you get on.

Hugs

How is it going, Ghostride?

I took my third dose last night. For me there was a very quick improvement in my vision after my first dose (uveitis is the main reason that I'm on it as my joint pains are mostly controlled through diet these days) - but I was able to eat hot cross buns over Easter without any problems, which a year ago would have made me very uncomfortable!

Hope that you will see a real improvement soon!
