Thanks Cindy

Every NSAID I have tried in the past has led to stomach upset. I don't know if that is the problem this time but i suspect it hasn't helped. I have noticed a certain amount of nausea since going back on them but not to the degree of having a "technicolor yawn" in a customer's side yard.

I should have won an Oscar for my performance. My customer never knew I was sick. I felt a little better after being there awhile. She might have thought it odd that I ran out of the house so quickly to look for the ants. I hope this was the last time I have to put on a performance like that.

Glad to hear from you again. laugh

Yes, it is a shame, my fellow Louisianian, I know that this breaks your heart too, Jeff...and yep, BP failed again, I suspect that the oil will stop pumping into the Gulf after BP finishes the new well the relief well they started building along side of the Horizon well the day after the explosion...the new relief well will redirect the oil from the original source into waiting tankers...so basically, they'll be back in business, which has been their main focus since this nightmare began..."How can we reclaim the oil?" has been an up front concern of BP execs from day one...and this appears to be their only concern in this matter...take care of yourself, Jeff...I read that you're feeling a little better today but I hope this settles down for you, big hugs & much love...xxooxx

Now you got me picturing Charlize Theron or some other current actress in a lovely gown, opening the envelope, saying: "and the Oscar goes to...Ilbacruzzen! I mean, Ibbakrooson! Ubbazoomin! [*bleep*], how the [*bleep*] do you say this guy's name!"

Glad you are a little better today, Jeffery! yes

Thanks Dow

It would go like this:(wretching can be heard from behind the curtain). sick
"And the winner is (I'll Be Crusin')". I come out from behind the curtain smiling and wiping my chin with my hand. grin

In 2000 I ordered a PT Cruiser without ever seeing one except online. I ordered it the day you could order one. I am now on the 2nd Cruiser after my wife totaled the 1st one cry. My licence plate is ILBCRZN.

...and now you know the rest of the story.

I think the Savella and the heat might be the problem. I will be talking to my doc after the weekend if it continues. So far it comes and goes. sick

my rheumy thought i could take nsaids so long as i took prilosec, but really for me, even with the tummy protecting meds, i still can't do it.

also, something else i discovered, the antacids that contain the calcium carbonate would actually make my stomach hurt worse. i wondered why, then read that calcium causes the stomach to produce more acid, so figured that must have been the reason. so instead of tums (or other calcium containing antacids) i use mylanta (the original with the aluminum and magnesium hydroxides, not the newer varieties with calcium). some people are afraid of the aluminum, and i guess if i needed it every day long term, i'd give it more thought too. but when my stomach needs instant relief, i reach for the double strength cherry creme mylanta with the aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simenthicone. and i always take my prilosec (like your nexium). but even with that, i still can't do nsaids. but i think i am a particularly sensitive case in this regard.

hope your stomach feels better soon. heart

Sue

Thanks for the tip. I really only take the Tums for the calcium...so I could cut those out too. I am not sure which way to turn at this point. I went online and read the side effects of Savella and nausea and headaches are just a few of some of the side effects. I think back and my symptoms were so mild I didn't give it much thought. I think the Nsaids just made things worse stomach wise. I will probably talk to doc after the weekend if I still feel as bad as I have been feeling. Thanks again!!!!

Jeffery,

You are my hero!

I don't see how you do it, have a job and try to deal with this.

I worked for 30 years till I could work no more, Im on disability and still have a hard time, if not for my wonderful husband and family I wouldn't want to be here.

Just know that even on your worst days there are alot of us still thinking about you and all that you are still trying to do for your family!

Hugs,

Lisa

That was a really nice post. I did read your post about the Brooks & Dunn concert. You guys must have had a really good time. I started reading your post and thought it was going to be worse. Glad every thing turned out but scary none the less.

I was just sticking up for one of the many special people here. hugss
