Hi Tiago,

Mmm,...what a great way to start your day! I hope it works for you. laugh

Interestingly, quite a few years ago, one of my DDs friends mentioned her Polynesian grandmother's cure for conjunctivitus - *your own* urine in the eye 3 times a day. Apparently nobody else's works nearly as well. Apparently this is a widely accepted therapy in many Polynesian cultures.

Then, a couple of years ago, a patient of mine told me of the traditional treatment for conjunctivitus in her native land - a well-known old Arabic remedy - yep, you guessed it! Urine...

There must be something to it... smirk

Yep Louise, i've read lots of comments of people that use urine drops to their eye problems...including uveitis, a problem for many of us with AS. ear problems as well

My mother told me that when she was younger, my grandmother had a beauty secret for her skin. yep, massaging the skin with urine. and for rashes, scarves, and wounds, it's supposed to help a lot.
I've read that the main ingredient from most of the top quality skin creams is urea, so that's another hint.

Still, this is all external use, but apparently when used internally it can be really powerfull.

like you say, there must be something to it, and i trully hope so laugh

about 25 years ago, when i was a small kid and suffered from constipation for about 20 days (what a surprise, since they diagnosed me with UC 25 years later...) my dad came up with the idea of giving me my own urine for a couple of days (and old trick learned from older people...).

my constipation resolved within 2-3 days and my fever dropped dramaticaly at that time.

i'm still remembering myself doing it...

34. Some rheumys say AS stage 1-2 some others say USpA
Also UC - rectocolitis.

UC curently in remission since feb 2011.
AS/USpA remission march-aug 2011. Flare - sept-nov 2011 (antibiotics). Remission now...

Modified NSD/SCD. Cook your own !

Homeopathic urine therapy is mentioned in the book 'An Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Arthritis' which is a great book, but they say to put a few drops of urine in some water and drink it, which sounds more like what I've heard about homeopathic medicine. Are you sure your supposed to be drinking so much of it? A few drops in some water would be much more tolerable if it does the same thing.

sunny, i've been in a kind of introspection period, meditating and praying a lot. i read a book called "spontanious healing of beliefe" by gregg braden, very much about how your thoughts, emotions and feelings help to creat your reality, so i spent time on that. i guess the mind plays a big role in the disease and i am trying to go deep inside my heart and creating a feeling of belief and hope. trying to recognize and adress my negative thoughts and shift them to more positive, life afirming ones. it's tricky and a ongoing thing but the thing he said in the book felt right to me so i am exploring it.

For what I know you are supposed to start with just a few drops, to get used to it. But then you're supposed to increase the dosage.
In the case of chronic and autoimunne disorders some argue that you should increase to the point of drinking all day urine. And the ideal is to do a fast with all day urine and daily half water half urine enema. Some say to do fasting with urine from 3 to 30 days, until you are ok, and as long as you drink the urine it's all safe, cose besides the homepatic response, urine has all the nutrients you need.
I made a 3 day fast the other day and felt better, my 3rd 3 day fast in 3 month, so now that i can deal with that, in a couple of weeks i am planning to do a week long fasting, with all day urine and daily enemas. Hopefully it will help cose i am still in pain and i really want to overcome this.
Fasting alone is one of the most recomended things for arthritis, for what i've seen so far, so i will give it a proper try with fasting+UT.
In the beggining i got worse, pain increased and i felt like sh*t but i kept going.
I made blood test on the 15 of June (2 weeks after starting UT) and my CRP was 102 mg/l. It should be <3 mg/l.
Last blood test was on 20 of July and CRP was 40 mg/l.
It's dropping and i believe it's related to my UT so that gave me an extra boost of confidence and helped to keep the faith.

Hello Tiago, I was wondering around the net and i thought, "I wonder what's up at KickAS, it's been a while" and WHOA! But then, I thought about ribcage pain...or iritis. A little pee has to be better for you then those NSaides. I found out about my AS over 10 years ago and the diet changes saved my life for work, golf, bicycling, climbing stairs, and breathing.
I'm reminded of a futuristic, sci-fi, Armageden movie (Water World) where the star pees in his coffee maker and gets something other than coffee in his cup HA HA
Over the years, I have read of many ways we kick AS. Anything that works without doing more damage is great. It's 90% mental and the other half is physical. (to steal a quote)
I fight male type UT issues from time to time and that always come with a little kick. Please let us know if this works. An open mind is a wonderful thing.

Tiago,

Hello. A friend of mine recommended The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden. Have you read that one too? I have not picked this book up, but your post made me realize that I should acquire this book and possibly the title that you reference. Interestingly enough, that same friend had once, a long time ago, mentioned the potentially significant benefits of UT. I wish you well.

Kind Regards,
Jay
