If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi I haven't been here for a little while. Hope every one is doing well.
I'm loving the weather in south of uk at moment! Have been pretty well so far this year. A few painful niggles but nothing major.
I saw my consultant last week and he says he wants my crp reduced. It is presently 10 and he wants it down to at least 8. Have increased sulfasalazine to 3 tablets a day, can't do 4 as it gives me a headache. Any tips on reducing crp? Must admit when I was admitted to hospital 2 years ago my crp was 140, so 10 sounds ok to me.

Funny how subjective these numbers are, isn't it. I'm glad to see you. You might try an herbal anti-inflammatory (if it won't interfere with the med). Are you low/no starch? If that's helped you in the past, it might help bring that number down. That's all I can really think of at the moment. Warm hugs,
Kat

Don't have any advice on this one I'm afraid... But, like Kat, just wanted to say it's really nice to see you, hon!

Thanks Kat and Tinkerbell
Not sure I could go no/low starch- love my starch. If increasing sulfasalazine does not work I may give it at try.
Good to see you still here Tink. As I have been quite well I some times feel a bit of a fraud coming here. Must admit I think I'm still in denial and expect the consultant to tell me they made a mistake and there is nothing wrong with me and it's just all symptoms of getting older :-)

My CRP pretty much hangs around 90 except for the year and a half I was on Prednisone, it went down to 38. You might want to try Omega 3 suppliments, it's supposed to help imflamation levels. Interresting to me that you see a "consultant"? What exactly is that. Forgive me for my ignorance but I've never heard that. Do you have a Rheumatologist? Cindy

Thanks Cindy
I may try that or increase omega 3 rich foods.in the uk they put omega 3 in some of the kids food. Must admit it taste vile.
Yes I did mean rheumatologist but I do not have one specific one that I see. Although I am registered under one there is about 3 different rheumatologist consultants that I might see. I never thought about it before but they certainly ask at the hospital what consultant I'm under so I suppose it's just stuck.
