If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Oh yes, over is best. Definitely over. And for a hoot, I did the fancy folded end when tidying for my parents... just to give my mom a chuckle! Doggies too I found, will run away with the over position, so be warned. lol

always over, never under. I have no explanation why. Just cause.

When I first moved in with my husband I was amazed when he informed me I'd put the toilet roll on the holder the wrong way round. I thought he was mad! How can there possibly be a wrong or right way. His explnation was that it is the difference between hanging in mid air or hanging, touching the wall. I guess that is why they always hang it over in hotels. Hate to think how many germs could be on the wall. Any way as a result I am now an over person.

Ok, Ok, Ok... uncle, uncle, I give, over wins..... This explanation is the icing on the cake for me! I have had enough reading the answers for why over is better.... I admit, these are all valid explanations, I can not find anything to defend the under position... I promise I will change to Over I know this last explanation will really gross out my wife who loves a clean house. I promise there will be no more "under" rolls. Tim Gosh... again.. goes to show just how much you can learn at this site

Thanks everyone for participating in the over/under poll. From what I read on Wiki-pedia 60% to 70% prefer the over orientation. Alot of different reasons were given as to why people prefer one method over the other. I know this whole poll was futile, but it did offer a distraction to our day to day woes. Thanks all for participating, the explanations were a hoot. Tim, very good memory, I do live in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and I do know what a "bubbler" is I also know what the "funnies" are. I changed my location on my profile to "south side of heavan". I like saying that every once in a while when someone asks me how I am doing, that backfired when I told my sister-in-law that I was " southside of heavan" and she replied, "And that you shall always be" OUCH!!!

Most definately over for me too....
I have come to the conclusion that folk here have delicate posteriors, as the minimum ply paper you can buy here seems to be 3, and I'm sure I've seen up to 6. Back home 2 ply is normal, but I haven't been able to find that here...
