I wonder whether anyone else find that their legs get particularly cold? I've noticed recently that in the evenings they seem to get cold (though they don't necessarily feel cold to the touch)...another symptom, or am I just getting paranoid?

David

Interesting that you mention this. I've considered taking a small blanket when we go out to eat or to a movie....if my legs get cold, they hurt. In fact, I've got a light blanket over my legs right now. Don't know if it's the AS, but wanted you to know someone else understands. rainbow And it's not just in the winter, A/C can do it to me, too. I don't wear shorts in the summer as often now because of the A/C being so cold in lots of places.

Interesting you say that too, because mine start as feeling cold, and then they begin to ache; now they're painful :-(

I am always covering my legs with my coat when we go to church. At home, I sit in my recliner with a throw covering my legs. As long as I am moving around, I'm fine. I just don't have the energy to keep moving.

Yup, mine do that a lot. When AS first hit me at age 10, it hit my left hip, and my left foot would be ice cold when the right was normal. My right leg even grew almost an inch longer than the left. And Cody says at night my legs and feet are freezing.

Hi David,
Sometimes my legs get that way and my doc suspects a mild circulation problem. My posture probably has alot to do with that when sitting and laying down. My legs were also cold like that (alot) when I was taking biologics.

Right now I have one hot knee because I must have done something to it. Something doesn't feel right in there for the past couple months.

Take care,
James

Same here David, joining the 'Yes, same here' line up! And like you James, sometimes have a real cooool cold right leg and freezing foot - right weird. Dr (back in UK) said circulation problem. Also have blue tops of toes, both feet, singularly odd looking.

Invariably have a rug over my knees, sit on top of storage heater (only form of heating in this house) with one leg draped over the radiator, and rug over the 'cold' side.

Even sometimes fill up a hottie. And, invariably wear a woolly head hugger, and thick socks...even in bed. V. 'beautiful' sight! <VBG>

So, not alone. All part and parcel of this amazing, invasive AS vile monster. Is there ANY part that it does not try to attack? (Nop, don't answer <LOL>)
