Wanda, I know what you mean. I'm like you; I just do what needs to be done and try not to complain about it. That makes it hard for people around me to realize that I'm actually in a fair bit of discomfort sometimes and that's why I'm in a foul mood while I unload the dishwasher, or drag the vacuum around.

I remember several years ago at the course I teach for people living with Arthritis. One of the participants was an 80 year old woman. She had RA and was in so much pain all the time that she was having trouble getting things done around the house. She'd been like this for well over a decade, but in the prior couple of years, it had become untenable. Her family didn't understand why she wasn't just doing for them the way she always had. They actually gave her a hard time about it. Oh, I wanted to go over there and give them what for. Instead, I listened to her and supported her and let her know she wasn't alone. That made her cry ... realizing someone actually understood.

So, yah, when you persevere and cope through the pain, they really do have trouble understanding when you cannot cope for a day or so (a week or so??).

Hi Wanda, so glad to hear things are easing up a bit. Yep, it's totally crazy that people really don't understand after the first 20 times you explain it to them. For the most part many healthy people don't have the capacity to understand and many just don't care, life goes on mentality.
Do you take prilocec or anything for your stomach? It's made a huge difference in mine.

So good hear from you...I need to get on here more than I do...
I take Protonix 40mg. twice a day, religiously. But that's for my Gerd...I think what's been bothering me has been ibs(yuck)it keeps creeping back..

How are you doing? how are those knees of yours? I hope they've been laying low for you.

Wanda, I've missed you too. Knees??? Ha, I'm trying to ignore them but it's a tough one. I need the other one replaced but no one will touch it until I have the other replacement fixed so, neither one is getting done. Looks as though I will be heading for another back surgery next month unless I can talk my surgeon out of it. I will post after I see him in a few weeks.
So, are you doing better today? How are those wonderful pups of yours?
