Hi,
I was wondering how long it has taken for people to have feel relief from Enbrel. I took my first shot today a few hours a later I started getting a nasty headache. What has anyone else experienced relating to starting Enbrel and any odd feelings you may have got or remedies that may have helped. Maybe, I am being over nervous as I want it to to work so badly.

Thanks!!!

When I was taking enbrel I think it took about a month for it to really kick in. When I had to stop enbrel I really didn't feel any pain for about a month. My AS has not been as bad as it was before enbrel, and I have not been had any enbrel or other TNF for about 6 years.

Hey CG, the headache may or may not be related to Enbrel. Call Enliven and talk to one of the nurses about it.

As for how long it can take, that depends on the person. In some people, it can take months; in others, not so long. Also, you may find that you feel better the day or a couple of days after the shot.

My sweetie is always knocked for a loop the day of his shot, but feels amazing the next day. I'm always OK on the day of the shot, but a tad flattened the day following and better on the third day.

Hugs,

Kat

Inna and Orch,

Thanks for the info! That helps a lot. I did some research and found similar things as well and also that the symptoms may be less as you are on it longer and some symptoms just expect that they are going to be there. So, I am going to take it easy today and try to keep my stress down...not working so well today so far but I am just going to stay away from the stresses the best I can and concentrate on me.

Thanks!!
