If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Ohoh - Four weeks ago had what seemed exactly like a horrible heart attack - had one in Dec 1997. Then, last Tuesday after coming back from seeing ophtho in Dijon, had another, then Wed, Thurs and Fri had bouts of the same. Phew. Like being kicked in the chest by a horse. Doctor told me to go to ER. Got myself there Fri evening and just back home this evening, Mon. They couldn't find anything heart. Asked IF poss anything to do wih AS - cardiologist opined, 'possibly'. Have checked it all out, and reckon, costo. Tell you, horrible. Was confined to bed with heart monitor... Rest was good for costo but not good for spine! Am stiff as a board and neck is killing me - and chest is aching. Can't wait to go to bed - my own bed. Feel desperate.

Gentle to you, Molly! Yes, indeed it is sharp and nasty and has many thinking it is their heart. When there's more chronic inflammation it makes us women suspect breast cancer...and why is costo always worse on the left??? Hope it's a short episode and you bounce back quickly.

Take care of yourself, Molly. Have had three bouts of Costochrondritis myself and know how much it feels like a heart attack. Sorry to hear of your sore back.

Hi Molly - I hope you feel better soon. It's aweful what just a few days of lying on our backs can do to make us so stiff!!! But I'm glad it wasn't your heart. I hope you'll soon be able to move around and get more comfortable

Oh Im so sorry Molly...I feel for you I have had it many times and I guess when I was a beginner in all of this I really thought it was my heart also..went thru the same things heart moniters, xrays, muscle relaxers ect..found the only thing that worked for me were the steroids (pred) if you have inflammation ANYWHERE the pred is going to help..in fact now when I feel something weird like could that be this or that I will take some pred just to see for me it seems to make all the difference if the pred isnt helping whatever it is within 24 hours then I know it is something else. Hope you can get it figured out and feeling better. Gentle Hugs!

Thanks all you guys - am feeling a tad better, just dizzy now with the anti-hypertensive meds...brought BP too low! Can't win, innit? (Rhetorical...<LOL>)
A'mom - no, can't do pred. Two fronts: counter indicated for anyone with glaucoma, and, am highly reactive to the stuff - does a right nasty number on me. Sooooooooo, anti-inflam and pain killers I suppose! But LDN seems to be holding the main fort, so will stick it out. Costo can't last forever...errrrrrrmmmm!! Cross fingers <LOL>
