Dear AS kickers-

Anyone have a great idea of how to approach endurance sports whilst on a low-starch/paleo diet? I am a cyclist and have yet to dial in the proper nutrition necessary to perform well over long distances. Any advice is appreciated.

Can you do dried fruit or fruit juices? I would think you just need to count your carbs and make sure your getting enough each day. The diet doesn't mean you have to be low carb.

I'm still trying to figure out how to balance it all myself but I think there are a few people here who do endurance exercise and NSD simultaneously and made it work for them. Hopefully they'll chime in soon. I'm a runner myself.

That approach is very interesting and I would like to know the answer to this problem.

I practise Athletics throughout the year, including two marathons, several half marathons... and this is a major problem about the lack of energy.
In my case, the three previous days the race as "forbidden" foods, only chickpeas, bananas and potatoes once...
Also as more raisins (dried grapes), dried fruit and pure chocolate....

I thank you do not forget to communicate your experience.
