If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

A quick update on this.
I began the DMPS chelation about 21 days ago and up til now my symptoms were sorta on or off. Some nights my pain went back up and others it was back down. Until last night when something new happened. I took my nightly DMPS pill right before bed and decided to take a really hot shower right after. Soon as I got out of the shower my feet and legs began itching in a way I've never felt before, it was almost as if it was more of a burn and it was beneath the skin, like no matter how much I scratched it just wouldn't go away. Then I tried to go to sleep and that was a ridiculous idea. My pain in my ribcage was an 8 and I even had my pain along my lower back and SI joint that I haven't had in years. Got up around 5am this morning and called MercOUT and talked to them about my reaction. She said that my body was "overloaded" and I needed to stop the chelation for about a week and then I can resume with the final 9 days I have left.
Interestingly enough after each meal I've eaten today (which was 100% no starch) I got that extreme hunger I used to get when I was just starting this diet and was still addicted to sugar...a sign of yeast or candida. I just ate a huge chicken salad and I'm starving right after I finished it. This hasn't happened in the past year or so. If all this isn't a sign of the havoc the mercury has wreaked on my body I don't know what is. I go in 12/10 to get the first set of 4 fillings out and then the remaining 4 a month later. I can't wait!!

I'm now a KICK AS (and Kick IBD) success story!! After going low starch Paleo to heal my gut, I can now eat nearly all starches, grains & foods without inflammation, flare-ups, or pain. I used a modified SCD diet approach (minus dairy! plus cacao ♥). Cheers to healing & thriving again! I blog at http://www.forestandfauna.com/about/

Flexible mind, have you checked for possible side effects from DMPS?

I have not Violeta. I am familiar with the debate and controversy surrounding DMPS as it also pertains to DMSA. Do I have side effects are you asking? Or have I checked what the side effects are? I feel that DMPS was working well for me until these last couple days. It is the strongest known chelator for mercury and is preferred over DMSA for cases where a person has very high levels as I do. It does make sense that my body may have become overwhelmed with all the stirring up that was induced but not sure what else to do at this point. What I do know is that I can't wait to get these fillings out for good. Then probably have to do another round or two of chelation. I've looked into more holistic and natural approaches but not sure how useful it is for someone with my levels.

Maybe in the mean time you can make some cilantro pesto, or add it to your salads or soups? I eat cilantro just about everyday, and just love it to pieces. http://home.earthlink.net/~jedcline/cilantro.html Seems like a safe way to do a mellow chelation while taking a break from the stronger stuff? -Andrea

Yeah, you want to keep it moving out while you're off the DMPS. Cilantro gets it moving, but you have to take something like clay to actually get it out. Clays can be really inexpensive. You can detox heavy metals through the skin. So that means if you can get up a good sweat several times a day, and then take a bath in some bentonite clay, that would keep it moving in the right direction. Clay packs on the jaw area would be good too. Also, I would try rinsing with a clay solution several times a day. Also, the combination of oxalic acid and mercury is very very insoluble, so not eating foods with too much oxalic acid might be helpful. But eating foods with selenium or zinc would be very helpful. It's a lot to think about, just do what you can.

Thanks for the input everyone. I am familiar with Cilantro and eat quite a bit of it! Good thought on the Clay Violeta. I was going to get some activated charcoal too for gargling. Thanks for the link Molly. I'll admit though when I start reading stuff on the web about DMPS it get's me a bit scared as there seems to be a lot of caution and skepticism around it. I've read a few blogs where someone has had really good luck with DMPS but after spending a few hours over on DMPSbackfire.com I was really anxious. However, I spoke with Dr. Dooley's assistant (creator of the MercOUT program I'm on ) and she assured me that the doses of DMPS I'm taking are quite safe and that taking it orally is quite different from those who did the IV injection. Also, I've read article after article that says you shouldn't begin chelation while your fillings are still in as you can pull the mercury out of those and back into your system, yet Dr. Dooley says that oral DMPS does not enter the saliva in large enough quantities to pull mercury out of fillings. This topic is so confusing and there isn't any level of consistent information across the web that I can find.

I agree - there is so much information and so much is contradictory, or just falls short of clarification. Makes for too many difficulties. Whom to believe and which way to turn. Difficult situation. (Certainly oral v. via IV is very very different!)
Perhaps get the fillings out first - caution being the better part of valour - and then chelate? Any decision must be your own decision - after due care and research.
Take care -
