If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Do you fast? Rest? Push through? Eat bitter gourd? Drink licorice tea? Ride it out? Read a book to distract? Or something else?

Hello, ramakentesh:
If I can, I fast--takes four or five days; water only. Otherwise, eat plenty of borage seed oil capsules--by the mouthful for at least 2g GLA and in addition to this drink fresh wheatgrass juice on an empty stomach--about 4-6oz once daily for 3 days in a row.
Don't want to discuss in-depth enemas but they are good and sometimes (when I had AS...) I take small 'retention water' with SSZ, which when uncoated dissolves rapidly in water.
In 15 years I never had to break down and take any NSAID except the 5ASA in SSZ.
Hope You find relief quickly, HEALTH, John

If the flare isn't too terrible, I ride it out:
get plenty of sleep, eat right, drink lots of tea especially green and oolong, take extra vitamin C, walk if I can, ice whatever needs icing.
If the flare is bad though, the only thing I've found that really helps my bad flares is methylprednisone. Even the Humira is no match for my bad flares.
I do think though if someday I am able to do a "fecal transplant" in pill form, that maybe I can lick this thing.
sue
Spondyloarthropathy, HLAB27 negative Humira (still methylprednisone for flares, just not as often. Aleve if needed, rarely.) LDN/zanaflex/flector patches over SI/ice vits C, D. probiotics. hyaluronic acid. CoQ, Mg, Ca, K. chiro walk, bike no dairy (casein sensitivity), limited eggs, limited yeast (bread)
