Interesting thread. I have seasonal allergies - the month of May is a write-off for me with all the trees and grass pollinating. But seems to be completely gone once June comes around. Mold is also one that I'm quite allergic to.

As for food - the doctors who tested me for allergens said milk, pork and peas! But I love them all and eat them anyway and they don't seem to affect me much anymore.

Any by the way - I had all these allergies long before I displayed any symptoms of AS.

Hi Michelle,
I have always had some allergies. Pollens, dust, mold...things like that. Since having AS symptoms, it seems I am allergic to more and more things. Not sure if there is a connection or not.
About 10 years ago I developed an allergy to caffeine. That one really stinks!!! LOL I got through my first year of college on triple espressos LOL (hmmm maybe I overdid them?)

The weirdest allergy I have had was to a sinus infection. I had been taken to the hospital in an ambulance, was having an allergic reaction and didn't know what from. After several hours at the hospital, the doctor said I had a sinus infection, and was allergic to the infection itself. I was amazed, didn't know that was possible. He said it isn't very common, but not unheard of. So now when I start to have problems with my sinuses, I get hives too. I buy my benedryl in bottle of 400 at Costco LOL

Would be very interesting to find out more on allergies and AS.

Take care,
Pam
