If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Although not with Arnold "I'll be back" Terminator explosion. More of a whimper. Feel OK. Remeber why I put it off a year or so more (3 years ) than necessary. Surgery rots. Doc's however are amazing. I know what mine had to do and his poise and reassurance afterward were too darn good to even criticize playfully. So I wore my first hip much farther through my own bone than need be but a Michelangelo like touch with a bone graft has undone my youthful abuses. Couldn't use a spinal or epidural since my spine is "very very bony". Good news was that they had some sort of micro fiber anesthesia so my anxieties about intubation were for naught. Could not shake the anesthesia for 3 days post op so my routine was sit up faint, get nauseas and vomit. Didn't make for much good conversation but its a hobby and it was mine for 3 days. SUnday I got up on crutches and can only put 50% maximum weight on my repaired hip because of the graft and my left leg which was not operated on never recovered from childhood muscle atrophy so I'm a bit wobbly to look at on crutches. Physical therapist cringed at my style but tested my upper body strength and realized I was more than OK for my surery/AS/muscle atrophy/crutch technique. Golf finally got the respect it deserved. THerapist did take a shot said something about only building upper body strength with my wiry frame if I'm knocking around 120 or so shots a round. I knew I liked her right away. Anyway very good to be back. My puter was down when I came home, then we had power outage so I am very glad to be back.     stevec-they also serve who stand and wait Edited by stevec on 12/13/02 01:30 AM (server time).

STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME BACK!!!! I am so sorry that I didn't know about your surgery, till just a few days ago. ( I've been a bit delinquent around here ) Anyways, I hear you had a 3rd hip replaced??? ( What does a person look like with 3 hips???) I used to be a nurse, worked on ortho too,but NEVER saw anyone with three hips!!! I hope you regain your golf swing, and the ability to chase those three darlin' babies of yours!! ( Do people with three hips always have triplets too?) I'm not making much sense, but I do wish you a speedy recovery!! Laura

Sure glad to see you back young fellow. When you are gone, things are just too damned serious around here and at my age, I can't handle your job, especially when I'm trying to do this wise old man gig.
Please don't overdo it for a start OK?

Yay, Steve! Glad you're back, and your sense of humor survived it all. No intubation? Wow! What the heck is this micro fiber stuff? OK, take care, and keep up the good work on recovery.

Heyyyyyyy steve! Nice to see you back! Nice to see you front! Go easy fella.....don't overdo it. Take a bit of time to recover. How does 15 minutes sound? We missed you!! Really though...you gotta take it easy so you can have a speedy recovery. How was your hospital stay? How was the food? Did you have a room mate? Did he snore? Were you able to catch up on any rest? Bet you;re glad to be home.....I know I am. Speedy recovery pal! Cheers, Steph
