Absolutely true. I am depending on NSAIDs (Ibuprofen) to get me through my days. I've had doctors prescribe nothing but NSAIDs, so I figured why spend like $100 a bottle on something like Celebrex when I can buy a bottle of Advil for $15, and the Advil basically has the same rewards and risks?

I am not enouraging ANYONE to quit what they're taking; My personal situation is that not ONE doctor has considered my case is an inflammatory condition such as AS, even though it has been mentioned here and there.

I'm sure there is no benefit from taking NSAIDs long term at all. However, it's not like I can just stop taking them. The headaches I get when I am NOT taking NSAIDs would be too debilitating to work through. I dread the preparation for my cortisone shots...I have to stop taking NSAIDs for 2 days before the procedure!!!!!

However, the more starchy things I avoid, the better off I am. Since I have been increasing salads, meats, and fruits, I am at about eight Advil a day, which was down from about 16!!!
