Wow, what a thread this has become!
From my own experience, I can relate to the rock band the Doors..."I woke up this morning and got myself a beeeeeer..."
Why? It works....I understand how it's not healthy, but neither is a Bloody Mary Brunch on Sunday, and those happen everywhere... and they work...just ask the "Ladies Who Lunch"...the jazz brunches I've been to, hung over, have been very satsfying mornings...
I understand both sides of this issue, expressed by very valued ASkickers....A) helping hangovers and B) helping your health....
You know, there is always a risk that drinking alcohol will lead to alcoholism, but I think that encouraging hangover remedies that include alcohol does not mean encouraging alcoholism....yes, binge drinkers will probably want to drink in the morning to supress the pain, but I've known many people who have done this who are not bingers or alcoholics...maybe that's just my experience...
I think valid points have been brought up in this post, and I hope that people can honestly disagree and leave it at that....this will be 'relative', but to quote John Lennon, "Whatever gets you through the night, is alright, is alright..." If I can live pain free I will, for whatever time I have left...rocknroll!!!!!
Awaiting the Storm..
Peace
