I was having periodic arrhythmia problems due to AS related problems in my mitral valves. The condition is being regulated by daily Dijoxin (digitalis) pills and have had no major problems since taking the digoxin.
The mitral valves are, however, getting slowly worse and a replacement will have to be done in the next couple of years (depending how quickly the condition does get worse).
In an Angiogram done several months ago, it was interesting to find that I had several areas on my mitral valves which calcification was building up. For the time being, I am getting along fairly normally for someone my age.
