Hey Dan, that is one mean machine- beats my Mom's Dodge Aspen station wagon we had back in high school...I'd rather pick up my date in your wagon!!
I'm seeing some cool cars on the road today, design wise or high tech hybrids, but the 1950's were just such a romantic Americana era for cars...I think of the movie "American Graffiti"...my dad grew up loving the late '50s Chevys and a friends brother has a rebuilt Packard (if I have that right) that we cruise around in at his party...it's like being in a movie, and you are wearing a suit and fedora..
Today a design gets copied so everything starts looking the same, there are some new things happening, but I want to see a hydrogen powered ZZ Top roadster that can still break the sound barrier...wishful thinking but hey...if I could buy an old Thunderbird, Corvette, or 57 Chevy I would be so stylin' that no rocking babe could resist...ok, in my fantasy...reality would be..if I could even drive...I'd be in a Civic Hybrid and might as well have zits and braces (ok, no offense to any Z and B folks out there).
Someday maybe you can fill that rod with ASkickers and we'll have a road trip!
Peace
Linc
