Sorry for the late reply, but this has been, by far, the weirdest, hardest, most wonderful week of my life. My birthday started early with a birthday/going away party on Saturday night, the 19th in Winnipeg, with close friends and family. It was lovely. And then early the next morning (Sunday), my mom and I went for a luxurious pedicure (with deluxe massage chair and whirlpool bath for feet!!!). My parents and I went to a festival of tree and lights later that afternoon. My dad and I went for a walk later that evening, which was very nice. Then, on my ACTUAL birthday, I had breakfast with friends from work, lunch with my grandparents and then dinner at home with mom and dad. I waited until they fell asleep, and then packed my bags, (the next morning I was leaving on a jet plane, y'see). Phew! A three day birthday!!!
Thank you so much for spending time replying to my birthday thread. I had a very few free moments to pop in, but really no time to reply in any meaningful way.
I'm going to go sit with my husband on the settee and watch some tele. (That's couch or sofa and TV for all you North Americans)
