Steve, I too hope that you won't be absent for too long. You may not feel it, but alot of people appreciate your contributions (humourous or otherwise) here.

It's so hard to gauge things like humour. You have a bawdy sense of humour that alot of people get. Unfortunately, at a place like this, with such a variety of folk, not everyone will appreciate it. So, then you have to tone things down a little. I know that this is a place where we should be able to be ourselves (it's a support group, after all). However, I think we've all had to learn where our personal lines are (for instance, I'm actually not half as political here as I like to be - TRUST me, I'm not). Things like bawdiness, politics, swearing, religion, can be very touchy. Especially online, where it's easy to misunderstand intent because you can't see facial expressions, body language, hear tone of voice or inflections.

I'd hate for you to absent yourself from a place that is obviously of help to you, Steve, and where you have helped others.
