Hello NSDers,
I found out that I'm pregnant almost 2 weeks ago! Now, I'm trying to figure out a suitable diet, while trying to stick as close to the NSD as possible. According to all pregnancy diet information that I've read, I've found that a pregnant woman cannot restrict carbohydrates. I haven't seen a nutritionist yet, but I hope to do so. In the meantime, I'm playing it safe for the fetus and eating brown rice and winter squash daily for complex carbohydrates. The pregnancy diet that I'm following recommends 6 servings of complex carbohydrates a day, but I'm only taking 3 servings and consuming lots of fruit juice and dried fruit to compensate.
I felt ok the first week of eating rice, but now that I'm in the second week (and after the holidays) I don't feel as good as I did last week. To which I have to say Oh Well, until I see something that convinces me that I don't need to consume complex carbohydrates.
We'll see how it goes! I'll keep you posted.
