Hi Ginger,
First of all: CONGRATULATIONS!
2nd: biggest concern: are you taking folic acid? Solgar has folic acid without starch etc, worked well for me. It's really important in the first 3 months and most folic acid comes from carbs (some from green veggies too). However, you coulnd't get the amount necessary through eating alone anyway, so you should make sure to take it as a supplement.
When I fell pregnant 6 months ago I was on the NSD too, I had really bad morning sickness in the second and third month (actually call it all-day and all-night sickness) and was dreaming of carbs. I also started to eat brown rice, kamut pasta, spelt product, müsli with amranth and the like. It worked well for me. I'm one of the lucky ones where AS goes in remission during pregnancy. I feel a bit stiffness if I have white flour or potatoes.
I saw a nutrinionist while trying for a baby and she analysed my diet saying it was borderline ok. It depends how strict you have to be. I was VERY strict at the end (i.e. only limited fruit and veg) as I kept having Iritis attacks. I'd still recommend you have your diet analysed by a dietician, just to be on the safe side.
I hope the above helps! Enjoy the pregnancy and let us know how you're getting on!
best and happy new year!
Christina
