I have only recently got a confirmed AS, and I am trying to get a grip on things. One of the things that have happened to my back is that it seems to "overreact" to exercises. An example is riding my bicycle. I used to do this a lot before, but now my upper back gets really sore. Further my physio gave me some exercises to do every day, this is supposed to be good for me. But when I do this my back gets really really sore and stiff (even after just a bit of exercise), so it seems everyday exercise is not right for me

But everyday exercise is supposed to be good for people with AS, isn't it?
