Yes, I completely agree with you, Dow.
My asthma all but disappeared after I was on the NSD for a couple of months. My skin is better too.
I just wanted to point out to Seb that from my research into acne, there is no hard evidence that there are specific dietary triggers in acne. I have read lots, and had numerous discussions with the more-than-reasonable and open-to discussion dermatologist that my son sees.
Seeing as how I have always fed my family a wholefoods diet with little processed or fast food, I was quite interested in interrogating the dermatologist pretty hard!
I have been doing dairy-free for my DD for years, and NSD for me, so if there was *any way* that dietary modification of any sort could help my son, I was prepared to do it. (avoiding meds with potential nasty side effects is what drives me...)
So, there appears to be nothing specific out there in the literature indicating 'dietary causes' of acne, but I agree that there is empirical evidence that changes in diet can *help* acne.
Just hoping to help reassure Seb's mum that NSD is most likely NOT the cause of of Seb's worsening skin condition.
