Hi, i read a blog a couple of days ago written by a scientist.
>> found some papers that say that Klebs can easily mutate to eat Xylitol
Yes, but they could easily feed on glucose and sugar and yet neither of these cause inflammation. Simple carbohydrates like sugar, glucose and xylitol are obviously safe..why!? perhaps due to increased competition among microbes in the gut.
In the blog he said that people with chrons react to the enzyme that klebsiella uses to break down starch and AS reacts to nitrogenase that the bacteria uses to create hydrogen when it eats starch. Maybe no nitrogenase is created when it isnt eating starch? Just a thought =) The post and some others he has written about klebsiella can be found here:
http://coolinginflammation.blogspot.com/search/label/KlebsiellaDo you think that klebs can mutate into eating glucosamine too? I know a dude who has eaten glucosamine for 30 years and hardly get any flairs. When he does, he eats alkaline minerals and the flair goes down again. He eats starchy foods, sugary foods, fatty foods.. you name it.
I was thinking that it works by promoting good gut bacteria and healing the intestine but maybe it could work like this too..
