She had missed a day or two of school and said her family had bad backs and her dad was going in for back surgery. She said her back had been hurting and that was why she was absent.
i took a second and then asked her if she had heard of Ankylosing spondylitis and she said YES that was it!!!!
I told her I had it for 20 years and my sons had it but are now graduating from college. I told her many of us do just fine so don't get too down. Should be an interesting year with her.
sigh maybe I can help her feel better she seemed a bit scared with her dad going in for surgery. Every now and then I remember why I went into teaching.
