i just glanced through the article. i can believe this, as this is really true of most things in my life, its always the not knowing rather than the knowing that is a killer for me: waiting to find out if i got the job or not, waiting to find out if a paper was accepted or a grant approved, etc. once i know, regardless if the information is positive or negative, is always easier on me than the not knowing.

and i remember the half hour to hour or so i had to wait for a doctor to tell me that a cyst in my breast was not cancerous, rather just a fluid filled cyst was probably the longest hour of my life!
