as for juggling work and a chronic illness, i know that one can be a real challenge. things i do that you might find helpful (of course you might be doing them already): 1. i write everything, and i mean everything down, otherwise with so much to juggle, i'd be constantly forgetting things. in this way i rarely forget anything. 2. i try to be as proactive as possible, try to get extra stuff done during my good periods so i can do only what is absolutely essential during flares. like last week my back was so bad, all i could do was come in, teach, and go home. but this week, back to doing the extra stuff too. it definitely can be a challenge! 3. i've gotten much better at knowing my limits and not feeling any remorse at calmly telling people i'm sorry, but NO.
