If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi, sunnypower:
Take the pharmacist some Bentonite powder and ask him to use it as 'filler.'
However, despite how strict I was otherwise, pills were often my greatest source of starches. Once I reacted very strongly to the teeniest capsules of boron that had just such a small amount of potato starch that I never would have thought I would react to it. It demonstrated to me just how disciplined we need to be at first.
There are some things that we cannot avoid and this is one reason antibiotics should be employed in the management of AS.
If You have tested some foods that might contain a little starch, it is sometimes-rarely also important to know the characteristics of that food. Garlic might be a prime example in that some parts are quite starchy, but perhaps the overall effect of the food as a "natural antibiotic" will mean that garlic despite some starch, would not be a good substrate for the bacterium, even if it were more starchy.
The point is, at some risk it is still worth it to have some certain foods and pills. I think sulfasalazine is also compounded with starch binders--and we sure have to take a lot of that stuff (3.5g/daily at therapeutic levels), but it is worth it if the drug helps, overall.
So, if the pharmacist really does not want to use a fair or inert filler (mushroom flour?), go ahead and still take the capsules; they will still help very much in this case. I buy commercial antibiotics and don't bother testing them even--all have worked except for one bad batch when I was doing the methodical date-coded evaluations. I was able to quickly identify that batch and switch to another.
Good Luck with it-- John
